   Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church is located in the Historic District of Temple, Texas. We are all for lifting up and praising the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our mission is to provide for the Spiritual, Emotional, and Physical needs of its members and others in the community and surrounding areas. To help the needy, seek out the lost and unsaved, minister to the needs of those in hospitals, nursing homes, the sick and shut-ins, and to fellowship with all, according to God’s word. To witness as   we travel, the marvelous Gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive every day to be a bright shining light for the unsaved to follow, as we follow the guidance of God’s Holy Spirit.
   Our worship services are Holy Ghost filled, soul stirring, scripture based teaching, preaching and uplifting. The atmosphere is full of love, because the joy of the Lord is our strength. We pray together, work together, praise together, and encourage one another. We believe that everybody is somebody, because we are made in the image of Almighty God.
